No Spring WebApplicationInitializer types detected on classpath

I spent hours on this, and the solution was:

  • Stop Tomcat
  • “Project” menu -> Clean -> Clean all projects
  • Servers tab -> Tomcat -> Right click -> Clean…
  • Right click on project -> Run as -> Run on server
