Android – set TextView TextStyle programmatically?

textview.setTypeface(Typeface.DEFAULT_BOLD);

setTypeface is the Attribute textStyle.

As Shankar V added, to preserve the previously set typeface attributes you can use:

textview.setTypeface(textview.getTypeface(), Typeface.BOLD);
