You can use [[UINavigationBar appearance] setTintColor:myColor];

Since iOS 7 you need to set [[UINavigationBar appearance] setBarTintColor:myColor]; and also [[UINavigationBar appearance] setTranslucent:NO].

[[UINavigationBar appearance] setBarTintColor:myColor];
[[UINavigationBar appearance] setTranslucent:NO];
