Show ProgressDialog Android

Declare your progress dialog:

ProgressDialog progress;

When you’re ready to start the progress dialog:

progress = ProgressDialog.show(this, "dialog title",
    "dialog message", true);

and to make it go away when you’re done:

progress.dismiss();
