I had a similar issue. I resolved it by changing
<basicHttpBinding>
to
<basicHttpsBinding>
and also changed my URL to use https:// instead of http://.
Also in <endpoint> node, change
binding="basicHttpBinding"
to
binding="basicHttpsBinding"
This worked.
