Authorization header missing in PHP POST request

Somehow, the Authorization header was stripped away. By adding the following lines in my .htaccess, I was able to get it to work.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*)
RewriteRule .* - [e=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%1]
