Escape double quotes in Java [duplicate]

Use Java’s replaceAll(String regex, String replacement)

For example, Use a substitution char for the quotes and then replace that char with \"

String newstring = String.replaceAll("%","\"");

or replace all instances of \" with \\\"

String newstring = String.replaceAll("\"","\\\"");
