@RequestMapping(value="/fetch" , method=RequestMethod.GET)
    public @ResponseBody String fetchResult(@RequestParam("from") @DateTimeFormat(pattern="yyyy-MM-dd") Date fromDate) {

    }

Yes, it’s simple. Just add the DateTimeFormat annotation.
