You can use the CONCAT function to do that:

UPDATE tbl SET col=CONCAT('test',col);

If you want to get cleverer and only update columns which don’t already have test prepended, try

UPDATE tbl SET col=CONCAT('test',col)
WHERE col NOT LIKE 'test%';
