You have to add the folder to the assets path (to file config/application.rb), see Rails Guides

config.assets.paths << "#{Rails.root}/app/assets/fonts"

And you should use the asset_path helper:

src: url('<%= asset_path('Chunkfive-webfont.eot') %>');
