I use ES6 template literals. For example:

const error = this.state.valid ? '' : 'error'
const classes = `form-control round-lg ${error}`

And then just render it:

<input className={classes} />

One-liner version:

<input className={`form-control round-lg ${this.state.valid ? '' : 'error'}`} />
