SQL query with distinct and sum

by 
SELECT color, fruit, sum(rating)
FROM medleys
GROUP BY color, fruit

Distinct is used to select distinct elements, nothing more, while you want to aggregate and for that you need GROUP BY and aggregation functions (SUM).
